OOooo...new stuffs!!

Sooo...late blog tonight but uhm...better late than never or something...:D

New pretty out tonight. I had seen this girl on American Idol last week with this long white shirt on (yeah yeah y'all know by now I'm an addict) and thought...'Hmm I like that and wanna try making something like it.' So I was gonna give it a go...and maybe make a pair of jeans to go with...and then I started on the shirt...and started thinking about this pinstripe texture I had made and hadn't used...and then I started thinking about a pair of pinstriped pants to go with...and then I started thinking about a suit...and then I said heyyyy why not shorts...and anyway that's how most things go with me...I start out with one thing...and end up with something very (if not entirely) different lots of the time.

SO anyhows...this one is fairly different than most of what I do...but I'm kinda liking it...and I hope others do too. The top is made of a really light, sheer linen texture with lacy flowers that I had a lot of fun fiddling with. (I included a matching bra for those who wanna wear the shirt but don't want bewbage showing <33) Both the suit and the top should pair well with other things, which I also like. Oh...also there's a short version of the top included for y'all who like to show some tummy! :P

It's called 'Girl Power'...is available at CKS Designs, as well as SLexchange & SLboutique for $L275.

ANDDddddd here's a piccie!!!! Bye for now! <33

American Idol - Part Deux

Okies so...I *know* there are more AI fans out there than Ally & me!! Don't be shy!! :P

So the girls last night...well...I think it's a bit unfair that they break the talent up evenly along gender lines since...well...clearly the talent this year is *NOT* even coming close to being broken up evenly along gender lines. It's really too bad they're not just keeping the best 12, period.

My Personal Faves:

1) Lakisha Jones (sang "And I'm Telling You (I'm Not Going)" from Dreamgirls)
O M G...seriously...ok so we've all seen people like Jennifer Hudson & Chris Daughtry get sent out *way* too early in the competition...so yah anything is possible...but if she doesn't *at least* make the final two I'm going to be totally shocked and unhappy. The really coolest thing about her is how she comes out with just this amazing, huge voice...and then when she talks...she's just so quiet and shy...she's a really really endearing person I think.

2) Melinda Doolittle (sang Aretha Franklin's "Since You've Been Gone")
Like Lakisha, hugely powerful voice and a sweet, shy personality. Really really like her...but I think it'll be difficult for both Lakisha & her to stay in because they're so similar.

3) Sabrina Sloan (sang Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You")
This one was sort of a surprise for me...I thought she was amazingly good...and I love the tone of her voice.

4) Jordin Sparks (sang Tracy Chapman's "Gimme One Reason")
I thought she started out a bit rough but really came around about halfway through. I think she has an incredible voice...is really mature for her age (unlike Sanjaya on the guys' side)...and I really liked that she chose a more contemporary song amid all the classics that were performed.

5) Stephanie Edwards (sang Prince's "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?")
Actually more people probably associate the song with Alicia Keys...and like Jordin...I liked that it was more contemporary. I thought she was really really outstanding.

6) Gina Glockson (sang Eric Carmen's "All By Myself")
So...I wasn't really blown away by the song she chose (like the last one...probably more people associate with another artist, in this case Celine Dion) for a couple of reasons...first...anything associated with Celine (like Whitney, Mariah, Christina) is *usually* a mistake on this show b/c it's so difficult to be compared to such a powerful, distinctive voice...secondly...and more importantly, I didn't feel as though it really fit her personality. In fact, I had sort of wished I had gotten to hear her sing The Pretenders' song that the other girl did just before her. But...she did do a great job with it (although I think Simon was right...she didn't *quite* hit THE note)...and I really like her because she's very different from the previous 5 I mentioned. I think they're going to have to work very hard to distinguish themselves from the pack if they don't want to be eaten alive by Lakisha...and I think Gina has great shot because she is talented and different.

I really like Leslie Hunt (Aretha's "Natural Woman") & Alaina Alexander (The Pretenders "Brass In Pocket") but I think they'll really need to find songs that suit them *much* better to get far.

There's something about Nicole Tranquillo (Erikah Badu's "Stay") I distinctly *don't* like...she's fabulously talented...but I was with Simon in that I found that performance to be more contrived than *real*. Maybe she'll do better next week.

Okies my personal bottom two:

1) Antonella Barba (sang Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing")
I never thought she should've made it through the final cuts and onto the show...and when Simon said the song ate her alive, he was dead on, imo. She's just not good enough, especially with this bunch.

2) Amy Krebs (sang Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me")
One of my favorite songs...and totally wrong for her voice...or at least for the way she chose to interpret it.

Since Haley Scarnato (the Meat Loaf/Celine Dion song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now") is the only one I haven't mentioned...I'll just say...bad song choice...bad attitude toward the criticism (imo)...didn't think she was bottom two but don't expect her to last if she can't do better.

So yah overall...girls *much* better than the guys...I'm gonna be shocked if the winner this season doesn't come from among them...and probably shocked honestly if it's not Lakisha!!

Let me call you sweetheart

So yah...I'm still on my V-day kick...wtf?

New pretty today in the form of a hot pink mini sweater-dress called 'Sweetheart'. It started out in my head a bit more retro than it ended up...but it still retains the low-around-the-hips chain belt (with heart-shaped links <33) and the pointelle knit tights to give it that bit of retro feel. There's also a daring heart-shaped cutout bodice. Wheeeeeeeeee!!

It's available at (yup, you guessed it!) CKS Designs, as well as SLexchange & SLboutique for $L225.

Here's a piccie...maybe I'll get off this V-day frenzy sometime...BUT...really this week's releases will still be perfectly wearable long after Cupid has left the building!! Enjoy & Happy Weekend!! <33

You gotta break a few hearts...

...if you wanna make an omelette. Or hm...something like that.

It's been a lil while since I did a schoolgirl outfit...so I thought it was just about time...and I did up this little number in the spirit of the season, so to speak. ;)

It's a cute & sassy little (yesh, it's pretty little o.O) outfit for all the tough girlies out there (ok...maybe for us girls who like to play tough sometimes) & I decided to call it 'Heartbreaker'. I put little heart details into the argyle texture...and little heart-shaped accents here and there...and even a little skirt pin in the skirt. Anyways...I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out!!

Of course it's available at CKS Designs, as well as SLexchange & SLboutique for $L200...or up to half price if you get that MobVend thing going. :)

I'll leave y'all with a piccie...happy Thursday!! <33

Is that candy in your pants....???

...or are you just happy to see me?!!

Sneaking in a lil newness tonight!! :D

I had this idea to do some sort of V-day inspired lingerie with little candy hearts on it...and so set about making a texture for it...then decided to make one with 'cinnamon' hearts also...and thus we have 'Candypants'...which comes in both the Sugar & Spice varieties!!

It's a lace-trimmed bra/panty set (the bra & panties are both included on two layers) with a pair of lace stockings that have candy heart trim along the backs of the legs. Very cutsie/girlie. <333

They're available as always at CKS Designs, as well as SLexchange & SLboutique. Each set is $L175...or you can get both for $L250!

Hereeee are some piccies...and I'm still in lurrrrve with this Tete Fevrier skin!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING OUT A DEMO IF YOU HAVEN'T!!! Wheeeeeee!!!

Laters! :D

Just Say No To 25!!!!

So I recently met the lovely Honey Fairweather quite by accident one day when she was looking for something on the Fashion Emergency channel and we both wound up at Nevermore! Amidst the 'ooohing' and 'ahhhing' over Santana Lumiere's exquisite work...she said...'Let me run an idea by you I had...and see what you think...'. Well...I *loved* her idea...and I think a lot of you fashionistas out there will, too!!

Honey, like a lot of us, had the problem of not being able to keep up with all the new relases from her fave content creators due to the repressive 25 group limit imposed on us by Linden Labs. *sniff* So...her solution was to create 'Fashion Consolidated'...a group whose purpose is to provide a single group where we can get release annoucements from all of our fave designers!!

The group is now open...a lot of designers have joined up already and more to come...so if you're like me and can't afford the group space but would love to be able to keep up to date on more releases...join up!!!

Also you can IM Honey Fairweather with questions...whether you're a curious shopaholic or a designer who would like to be able to send out notices in the FashCon group!!

Thanks Honey for a wonderful idea!!! <333
