So...after MUCH anticipation...the release of the new Fleur Allure skins is imminent!! The launch is planned for this coming Sunday (10/19/08) at noon game time at the Fleur main shop. For now...I wanted to give you a little sneakie peekie! ;)
I've been so excited about Roslin & CJ's new skin line ever since they started it...as I have long been a devotee of Fleur skins. And I have to say...everyone is in for such a treat with the newness. These skins are a bit more photorealistic than former Fleur skins...the faces are of course gorgeous as ever...and the bodies...well...they're just incredible. Overall the skins have a very vibrant quality...distinct and striking. I'll admit I had a bit of trouble at first. As we always are...I was sort of unsure on a changeover to a skin that was fairly different to what I had been wearing...and I had to do some minor tweaking of my nose and mouth before I was really happy with how they sat on my face...but...wow were they ever worth the effort!
In the pic above...I'm wearing my favorite of the new makeups...'Fall In Love' #2, in the Cinnamon skin tone. I really wanted to show off more that just the faces on these exquisite skins...so I figured...what better excuse to prance around in lingerie and take pics of myself...RIGHT?!! :P One of the things I love is the gorgeous tummy...very defined but not overdone...and the belly button is marvy. Also the cleavage is fab...and the COLLARBONE...omg...the collarbone is to die for. Of course the face...also very very very gorgeous. ;)
Being a redhead...I'm definitely a freckle girl...and there are some gorgeous freckly skins. Here I'm wearing 'Kit' #1 in the Cinnamon skin tone. Again you can get a great view of that gorgous collarbone here...and just the overall tone of the skin is fab...it just shines marvelously in windlight.
Also...since we're checking out the bod...let's not forget the rear view! Two of my fave features are on display here...the beautifully sculpted shoulder blades...and the OMG CUTE AS HELL butt dimples! This skin is also in the Cinnamon tone...my favorite of the new tones...altho they are all just so beautifully smooth...I know I'll be wearing some of the lighter ones from time to time.
This is 'Kitten' #1 in the Cinnamon tone. I love the highlighting on the eyes and the gorgeous red lips...as well as the aforementioned glow on the body itself...just total yumness!!
And...last but certainly not least...another of my favorites among the newness...'Smudged' #3 in the Cinnamon tone. Just a reminder that with all the buzz about the new bodies...those faces are still as flawless and exquisite as they come. ;)
As a reminder, you can nab yourself some of these beauties...and many more...starting at Sunday, October 19, at noon game time at the Fleur main shop!!

So Yeah
The other day I got chided (by Phay :P) b/c I hadn't blogged since March 30...and at some point this morning while I was out and about I remembered my chiding and thought...'damn she's right...I think I'll blog when I get home!'.
So here I am with my venti Doubleshot on Ice (b/c evidently, according to Starbucks, people only want honey in the winter but *nothing* screams summer like 4 shots of espresso in a 24-oz cup) wondering...well...lessee...hmmm...what exactly do I have to say? And the answer is...sorta nothing...sorta a lot...blah blah blah.
I had started on posts about American Idol, but frankly the entire season was too 'eh' for me to care that much. Sure there were some great funny moments etc along the way...but all in all it was just like...well...'eh'. Hard to care that much. I'd much rather blog about 'Lost'...but if I did that y'all would be begging me to stfu after one post. Let's say I'm slightly obsessed. :P Besides...it's a *Second* Life blog...so...maybe I should get to what's been going on/what's coming up in my SL.
I've sorta had a break from designing/CKS work...mostly because other things have been filling up my time...and also b/c sometimes well...I just don't wanna design I guess. However, in the past month CC has been working on a shop rebuild...and I have been working on pricing/ad redesign for us. Andddd we've both been working on new pretties this week...and plan to continue doing so. So look for an announcement soon on that...once we decide when we wanna go in and put the new shop and goodies up!! It's always fun to get back into it after a break...and I'm really excited about the new build and the new ideas we've both been working on...can't wait to have it all pulled together & show it off!!
Also we have the big season finale of DiVAs coming up. If you've been following along on the DiVAs Blog then you've seen Phay's marvelous trailer for the finale. Having seen a preliminary final edit...I can honestly say that viewers are in for a real treat. I don't want to give *anything* away...but definitely expect the unexpected. I've watched Phay & Evie grow so much over the course of these 6 episodes in their technical skills...and I really think everyone is going to be awed with what they've done with this one. I'm so proud of both of them...and so honored to be a part of this incredible, amazing creative journey. We're going to be having an in-world screening of the finale...so stay tuned for info on that!
Also on a machinima note...my friend Tuber Potato, who directed a machinima version of the Ray Bradbury short story 'The Veldt' last summer, (it can be viewed here), will be directing another machinima based on a famous short story in the next couple of months. I won't say more as again I don't want to give anything away...but it's another project I'm very excited about participating in.
What else...welll...ok so anyone who knows me knows that I love (ie..am obsessed with) football. (yeah, American football...stop groaning you Euros...you know who you are) My friend Dot, who also loves football, suggested we start a football blog this fall...and I am so psyched about the idea!! I suggested we also have an SL fantasy football league. Anyone out there who has some interest in that (if you've read this far :P) drop me an email/notecard/something. Serious fans only please...those who know how to trash talk etc. :P
Also there's the little matter of the sim that CC & I have spent the past 3 months on. Terraforming. Reterraforming. Putting up houses. Putting up new houses. Reterraforming. Etc. (It's personal space, not shop space.) I've learned that I love terraforming (who knew?!) and I hate building (more like trying to build) waterfalls. :/
ANDDDDD then there's this Jim Honey dude. Good-looking, rebellious type. Prone to mischief. Maker of extraordinary animations. I really love spending time with him. Lots of time. <33 :)
So there we go...(Phay...I BLOGGED!!)...stuff I've been up to...stuff I'm being up to...stuff I'm gonna be up to etc. Like I said..stay tuned....

Is It Possible...
...to have a meaningful relationship with a skin?!!
Cos I think I'm having one with the new Avril skin from Tete a Pied. Seriously. Like ever since I got it last week I can only take it off for *extremely* limited amounts of time and even then *only* when necessary. But then I start to get all shaky and jittery and want to put it back on. The eyes...are just soooo smoky...the lips...are just...sooooooo yummmy...the colors are just sooooo springy and fresh. I highly encourage popping over and trying on a demo before they're gone forever at the end of the month. Addiction may occur however...you have been warned. :P
Pretties: Skin - Tete a Pied: Redhead in Avril, Hair - ETD: Anisa in Copper Blackened, Earrings - Shiny Things: Glass Squares Earrings in Pink, Clothing - CKS Designs: Impressionable.

I Heart My Photosphere!!
SO yes I know I'm like the last person in SL to talk about this...but seriously I just love this little effer so much I GOTTA SAY SOMETHING!!!!!!!!
Weekend before last Saeya Nyanda dropped this little toy on me she had made called a Photosphere. Having never used a photo studio before, I was like...'Hmmmmmm OK...I'll check it out...'. Later on that night I rezzed it on my little work platform...and 10 minutes later I was in lurrrrrrrve!!!!!! I love it so much I had to make a second platform under my regular workspace just for it!! o.O
The brilliant thing about the Photosphere is how much it packs into this compact little package. For only 10 prims...and very little space...Saesae has made this fantastic studio that includes tons of easily changeable, tintable, & scaleable background textures (and you can buy more texture packs...or even use your own!!)...lighting that's easily changed at a touch...a poseball that you can drop your own poses into (or you can put down whatever poseballs you like so you can take pics with friends & stuff!!)...a HUD so that you and others can make changes conveniently...and, most brilliantly, a fabulous spherical construction that lets you take photos from any angle imaginable and not lose your background!! Have I said brilliant?!!
So...I have to include a few snapshots I took with it...and YOU have to get your butt on out to Kyoot and nab one of these little beauties for yourself!! Trust me...you'll ADORE it!!!!!

Very Loosely Organized Pretties List: Skin - pics 1 & 3 - Celestial Studios, pics 2 & 4 - Gala, pic 5 - Tete a Pied; Hair - pics 1,3 & 4 - ETD, pics 2 & 5 - Calico Creations; Earrings - pics 1 & 5 - Gurl6, pics 2 & 4 - Caroline's Jewelry, pic 3 - Alienbear Designs; All Clothing is from CKS Designs.

Are you ready to get pwnd?!!
If so, you're in luck...step right up!!
Haver Cole & Saeya Nyanda have just released this week the premiere issue of their new monthly SL lifestyle magazine 'pwnd'...and it's chock full of fascinating stories & interviews, & fab photo shoots.
Pwnd focuses on one aspect of Second Lifestyles each month, giving us an in depth view of the people, places, & things associated with the lifestyle. The premiere issue is all about 'alts'...and all the dirty little secrets people use their alts to hide (among other things)! ;)
You can pick up an in world copy of pwnd magazine at CKS Designs, or at any number of locations whre vendors are out. The magazine is totally free...all you have to do is click the vendor to recieve your copy. If you'd prefer to read via your browser, you can go to http://www.pwndzine.blogspot.com/ to get your fix!!
Seriously, it's a great read...a very revealing & intriguing look into the world of alts and why people have them. I can't wait to see how I'm gonna get pwnd next month! ;)
GREAT JOB LADIES!!!
Now y'all stop reading my incoherencies and go get pwnd!! <3333

Just Say No To 25!!!!
So I recently met the lovely Honey Fairweather quite by accident one day when she was looking for something on the Fashion Emergency channel and we both wound up at Nevermore! Amidst the 'ooohing' and 'ahhhing' over Santana Lumiere's exquisite work...she said...'Let me run an idea by you I had...and see what you think...'. Well...I *loved* her idea...and I think a lot of you fashionistas out there will, too!!
Honey, like a lot of us, had the problem of not being able to keep up with all the new relases from her fave content creators due to the repressive 25 group limit imposed on us by Linden Labs. *sniff* So...her solution was to create 'Fashion Consolidated'...a group whose purpose is to provide a single group where we can get release annoucements from all of our fave designers!!
The group is now open...a lot of designers have joined up already and more to come...so if you're like me and can't afford the group space but would love to be able to keep up to date on more releases...join up!!!
Also you can IM Honey Fairweather with questions...whether you're a curious shopaholic or a designer who would like to be able to send out notices in the FashCon group!!
Thanks Honey for a wonderful idea!!! <333

Rescue Me! (Sort Of)
Wow! It's been a busy couple of days in ye olde habitrail! I never even got round to blogging yesterday!! o.O
Soooo even though there are ohhhh not quite 6 hours left in day 6...I thought I'd go ahead and just do a combined entry for days 5 & 6! :D
It's been a very very busy couple days of building back in the workroom. For those who haven't yet been out back to see what's going in, our building area/sandbox/project room...whatever you want to call it...is located at the back of the house. It's a huge, elevated glass room that juts out over the beach...so anyone who comes to watch can stand beneath...on top of...or hover outside to look in on us. I do encourage everyone who hasn't yet to come out and have a look at what's been/being done in there. There are some amazing Christmas decorations that have been made, to go along with the tree. The entire lot will be auctioned, the proceeds to benefit a charity that we as a group choose. The charity that we have tentatively chosen is Unicef. We really hope to bring in a huge donation, so everyone has been doing their best to make some really cool things.
Being that most of my in-habitrail time has been spent back there, there hasn't been a lot of lounge-about time as there was the first few days. As I said in my last post, this is the same for most residents, so the air around the house in general as far as drama & antics go has been very subdued. There has been of course the (by now) usual and mentioned-in-a-couple-of-entries-now bashing of/rudeness to some visitors (and residents) by other members. I suppose by now it's just becoming routine. I hate that it happens but, it's just gotten to the point where most everyone shrugs it off and goes on about their business. I should say, however, that overwhelmingly most visitors are nice and supportive not just to their chosen resident, but to ALL of us...and we love y'all for sending us the good vibes every day.
We DID have yet more sim crashes...one yesterday...one the day before so YEY for that lol. Yesterday, even tho we didn't experience any of the griefing itself, we felt the aftershocks as the grid struggled to maintain/restore its stability. I'd like to say a big thumbs up & thank you to the staff at LL for keeping us up & running with only a few hiccups during yesterday's attack. I'd also like to say to the griefers...if this is all you have to do with your spare time & the way you choose to waste your creativity...how sad.
I have to give a huge thank youuuuuu to some friends & designers who have been nice enough to smuggle me in a little fashion relief to keep me going! Ginny...Shai...Roslin (my volunteer shopper!! haha)...Killy...Trin...Ky...Moo...CC...Sol & Lur...Ally...thanks to you all for sending some goodies my way and keeping me looking kyooot (and more importantly...helping to satisfy my shopping cravings) while I'm in lockup! Also thanks for the fashion chats...cos if you hafta be trapped in a cage...what better to stand around and talk about (even if it does bore the guys!...and btw, guys, y'all left before the nekkie skin party began...OOOPS! *G*)?!!
I have a couple pics below of some ADORABLE earmuff/backpack sets from TrinityLynn Skye. They're breathtakingly cute and available at Splendicious Designs along with lots of other cold weather goodies. Trin is offering a 50% off sale for Big Brother residents! So take a min to im Trin and let her know you'd like to send your fave resident a little care package & show a gerbil some love!! <3

I also have to give a shout out to the We Love Your Jezus FOC Crew Band for coming out last night for another rousing show. Best only-in-SL quote ever from Gia Reymont: "i have a very important job for u. Can u sit on jesus so he wont get auto returned?" That pretty much sums it up. Really. There is just NO way I can improve on that comment. Thanks y'all...IMOGEN ROOLZ!!! <3 <3 <3 (and btw...stop GRIEFING me HAVER!!!)
Once day 7 starts at noon game time today, it will mark the last day that all 15 residents will be in the house. Come tomorrow (Friday), the three residents with the lowest number of votes will be sent home. I can't stress how important it is for everyone out there to take a little time to come and vote for your favorite resident...and then keep coming back each week to do it all again. AND come see us...peck on the cage...shout some encouragement. We need your love & support to keep us going...and we sure do appreciate it...more than y'all know!!
That's it for me this morning...ttfn! <3
/me runs away

XOMG!!!! Skin Mania!!!
I finally made it over to Tete A Pied's new shop in Nouveau to check it out...AND check out these new redhead skins Ros has been promising...and all I can say is...XOMG!!!!
CJ & Ros have treated us to a lovely, slightly sunkissed redhead skin tone with that gorgeous, creamy tete a pied finish...in some wonderful variations on their different make-up lines.
I've included some pics here but trust me...pics can't do it justice...you MUST go snag a demo and try it on for yourself!!
TaP Redhead Seductress Scarlet
TaP Redhead Gamine Apricot
TaP Redhead Enigma Salmon
TaP Redhead Trendy Copper (my personal favvvve!!)If you've never tried Tete A Pied skin...shame on you!!...and here's what makes it fabby (apart from the excellent quality): Each TaP skin line features an entirely different 'look' to the make-up. As you can see from the pics above...the looks vary widely. It's a lot more than just putting new colors of make-up on (although different make-up colors are available in each line)...each line has an entirely different personality...and that makes TaP skin unique in the SL world.
Anywho...have I prattled enough?! Just go to Tete A Pied and try some on for yourself already...:D
Pretties: Hair - ETD Couture: The Updo in Citrus, Earrings - Lassitude & Ennui: Gwanwyn in Silver, Jacket - 7 Deadly Sins: Intrinity.

Ok so...
...nopers...I didn't die or anything...as those who have seen me iw will attest to! The evil copybot has not absconded with me and left a non-working evil doppelganger in my place! <3
I have, however, been lazy about work and more into catching up with some friends, working on non-clothing projects (like the shop remodel), and generally having some fun on the grid. All work and no play makes Kit a cranky pants...or something like that!
So I'll be getting back to that work thing soon...but I wanted to post up some pics of something really fun I did last night in SL...avatar chess!!
Last night at Creative Commons on a giant chessboard, 31 other players & I participated in a chess game organized by my friend Barney Boomslang. Grouped into two teams (white & red), with a leader guiding our strategies in separate group chats, we wore chess piece avatars (also created by Barney) and played out a living game of chess.
There were a few issues at the start (sim limits...some lag...getting organized etc.) but in the end it was a resounding success with the white team (my team...OF COURSE) winning the game as the red team ran out of time attempting to plan a strategy to overcome the brilliant strategy laid out by our fearless king, Ahmad Hosho. :D
Anyone interested in participating in Avatar Chess can join the group "Avatar Chess" (it's open enrollment) and/or speak to Barney Boomslang or Bibi Book about being assigned to a team. Barney's chess avatars are available for free at the landmark listed above! <3
Here's a shot of the board as the players stand at attention waiting for the game to begin!
The White Team (my team we wonn yeyyyyy!!!!!)
The Evil Red Team!!!!!
The game in progress...I'm the white knight closest to the cam! <3
Thanks to Barney and all the organizers & creators for a fabulous fun event!! Y'all join the group and come on out for the next one!!!
